		BIRTH CERTIFICATION

		BIRTH CERTIFICATION is required for various reasons by various government departments both local and foreign. Such certification is both archived and secured by the DEPARTMENT OF HOME AFFAIRS. BIRTH CERTIFICATION is, dependent on your specific requirements, available upon request in an *ABRIDGED*,

		*UNABRIDGED* and *VAULT COPY* format.


	THE DIFFERENT FORMATS


• An UNABRIDGED BIRTH CERTIFICATE is a certificate of birth showing both the persons parents details. It is a computer generated print out and *Must be APOSTILLED* or *AUTHENTICATED*.

• An ABRIDGED BIRTH CERTIFICATE is a certificate of birth showing the persons details only. It is a computer generated print out and the document CANNOT be APOSTILLED or AUTHENTICATED.

• A VAULT COPY OF A BIRTH CERTIFICATE is a copy of the actual birth registration form when the birth was first registered. These copies are usually needed to prove the right to citizenship or a passport i.e British Passport and CANNOT be APOSTILLED or AUTHENTICATED.

• An APOSTILLE CERTIFICATE is a formal process completed at either the Department of FOREIGN AFFAIRS or the local HIGH COURT, that does encompass the Legalising of

official public documents executed within South Africa for use outside the Republic of South Africa by means of an APOSTILLE CERTIFICATE, where countries are party to The Hague Convention of 5 October 1961.
